MBody Martial Arts Program
MBody Martial Arts trains the complete Martial Artist; Self-Defense, Conditioning and Fight Psychology and is located at MBody Strength training center in Brea California. Additionally MBody Martial Arts teaches all levels of student - From children (Focusing on self-defense, coordination, confidence building, bully prevention and interaction and injury prevention) to the everyday person (Self-Defense, physical fitness, coordination, confidence building) all the way to career Martial Artists, Law Enforcement, Security and Military/Special Law Enforcement Divisions (Advanced training, competitive training).

For Kids -
We build confidence, coordination and practical self-defense and situation diffusion skills in children from 4/5 up through 16 years of age. San Soo offers a practical approach to teaching kids situational and physical self awareness. The best way to avoid a conflict is to have the initial tools to diffuse it before it even starts. The best way to avoid being a "target" is situational awareness and confidence, not fear tactics.
- Self Defense - We teach children how to defend themselves against people their size using avoidance and control techniques; many times a situation does not call for damaging an opponent. Often the opponent can just be controlled or temporarily disabled. When small children are dealing with adults, it is important that a child, no matter how skilled, must use evasive and escape tactics; A grown man does not need to know any skills to control a 5 or 6 year old child! We do not teach a 5 or 6 year old child to stand "toe to toe" with an adult. They are taught to avoid, or how to create an opening and then attract attention to the situation.
- Situational Awareness - Part of avoiding situations where physical self-defense may be required is situational awareness. Being aware of everything from blind corners to suspicious individuals is all part of ongoing teaching of recognizing and then avoiding situations that can be dangerous.
- Physical Self Awareness - Something that so many Martial Arts lack is the ability recognize how the body moves naturally. San Soo offers an understanding of how the body moves naturally to prevent injury as well as maximize efficiency of movement.
- Injury Prevention - Another thing than many Martial Arts lack is also how to avoid injury; not just in a physical altercation, but life in general. We teach kids (and adults) how to avoid injury when falling, being tripped, being pushed and even if struck.
For Adults -
Kung Fu San Soo is a five family system (Tsoi - Li - Ho- Fut - Hung) from Southern China. San Soo can best be described as the "Art of Destroying the Human Body". It is not a competition sport and is quite possibly one of the, if not the most lethal Martial Art in the world. Brought to the US by Jimmy Woo and finally taught to non-Chinese Americans in the 1960's, San Soo incorporates well-rounded striking, throws and take-downs, severe and devastating leverages and power that is designed to eliminate differences in size and weight and equalize the playing field allowing for the much smaller opponent to cause devastating damage to a much larger opponent.
We train adults from every walk of life; the college student, the teenager, the mom, the dad, law enforcement, military and more. San Soo takes a practical approach to situations as they really occur in life; not staged and unrealistic attack defenses. Kung Fu San Soo is the most complete Martial Art encompassing striking, leverages, throws, kicks and total body techniques.
Our Self Defense program consists of regular classes utilizing Kung Fu San Soo, but we also host specialized classes, seminars and private lessons.
