The SWC V combines weight hiking with kettlebell and bodyweight exercises to create a challenge that will test your strength and endurance like nothing you've done before!

We're even offering a FREE workshop on September 11, 2010 to help you get ready for the event! You must register online to compete in the event!

Challenge Details

This is a timed challenge. There will be a men's and women's beginner and advanced class for this event. Men's Beginner will use a 16kg (35lb) kettlebell for the exercises and will carry it for the weighted hiking portion (we'll provide the backpack); Men's Advanced will use a 24kg (53lb) kettlebell. Women's Beginner will use a 8kg (18lb) kettlebell; women's advanced will use a 16kg (35lb) kettlebell. Challenges (in order):

  • Push Presses - 100 reps
  • Weighted Hike - 1-Mile
  • Snatches - 50 reps each arm
  • Push Ups - 100 reps
  • Pull Ups - 50
  • Cleans - 50 reps each arm
  • Burpees - 100 reps
  • Run - 1-Mile

The MKB is designed to help you take your workout anywhere you want to go. With the ability to haul your heavy unconventional training equipment (i.e. kettlebells, Clubbells, Sandbags, etc.) to new locations, you'll be able to add the benefits of weighted hiking to your workouts, along with the excitement of working out at the beach, on top of a mountain, or just at your local park.

FREE SWC Prep Workshop, 9/11/2010


If you haven't used kettlebells before, don't fret! We're having a FREE Kettlebell Essentials Workshop on September 11, 2010 to help prepare you for the event. At this 2-hour workshop, you'll learn proper form for Push Preses, Snatches, Push ups, Pull Ups, Cleans, and Burpees!

The SWC Prep Workshop will be from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on September 11, 2010 and will instructed by Marcus Martinez and Mark de Grasse.
